The USS Marvin H. McIntyre (APA-129) was commissioned on November 28, 1944 and was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater during World War II and the Occupation and China service in the Far East after the war. The ship was decommissioned June 6, 1946. The USS Marvin H. McIntyre earned one battle star for World War II service and was commanded by Captain John Joseph Hourihan.
