Biography
The HIJMS Musashi, sister ship to the Yamato, was one of the largest and most heavily armed battleships ever built. Commissioned in 1942, she served primarily as a flagship but saw limited combat before being sunk by overwhelming U.S. air power during the Battle of Leyte Gulf in October 1944.
