Biography
Lieutenant Colonel Herman Abady served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He graduated from the University of Virginia in 1942, where he roomed with fellow Marine William H. Sager. He served with Company K, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Division, on Guadalcanal in the British Solomon Islands. After the war, Abady earned his law degree from the University of Virginia and practiced law in Richmond for more than 50 years.
