Scope and Contents
The Antone Bruns Collection contains flight records, records from the USS Missouri, photographs, and letters. Most of the collection consists of letters between Bruns and his wife, Otha Lee. The collection also contains newspaper clippings, postcards, and patches. The Antone Bruns Collection contains letters sent between Antone and his wife, Otha Lee, while he was at war. These letters describe what it was like to be deployed during the war and missing their loved ones. The collection also contains pictures of nose art on military aircraft, 15 personal photographs from the war, combat flight records, records from the USS Missouri, seven patches, and an award presented in 1995 to Antone Bruns for his contributions in Okinawa.
