Fort Knox ROTC and A&M College ROTC Documents, 1954 - 1963
Scope and Contents
This folder contains various military documents and personal records dating from 1954 to 1963. Included are notes about country alliances, military correspondence, orders, records, and several military pay vouchers. The materials also feature documents related to an individual weapons committee led by Lt. Col. Robert E. Byrns, along with a personnel directory of the U.S. Military Assistance Advisory Group in Denmark. Photographs in the folder show servicemen at Fort Hood, Texas, during the ROTC Camp held from June to July 1951, as well as General Clark approaching a briefing room at Fort Knox in 1959. Additional items include a roster of personnel assigned to the U.S. Army Instructor Unit (ROTC) at Texas A&M in 1961, course certificates, a copy of Robert E. Byrns’s chronological service record, and various newspaper clippings.
