Scope and Contents
This folder contains an article titled "Art and Exchange at Sugamo Prison, 1945-52: Visual Communication in American-occupied Japan" by Bill Barrette, as well as emails between Bill Barrette and Luke Heindel regarding the drawings James Heindel kept from Sugamo Prison. It also includes copies of images of Fumio Fujiki, Tokio Tobita, and Hideki Tojo, along with drawings and photographs from Heindel's collection. Lastly, it contains additional research material related to the Japanese war crime trials and artwork related to Sugamo Prison.
