147th Naval Construction Battalion Photographs, undated
Scope and Contents
This folder contains photographs documenting the activities, facilities, and personnel of the 147th Naval Construction Battalion (NCB). Subjects depicted include aerial views of coastal military installations under construction and photographs documenting the battalion's religious life, including interior views of a military chapel, an outdoor worship or assembly service, and a drawing of the 58th Naval Construction Battalion Chapel on Okinawa. Musical and recreational activities are represented by photographs of the 147th NCB band, a performance by the 147th Naval Construction Band at the 147th NCB party, and a group portrait of battalion members on a baseball field.
