Scope and Contents
The Fallis Family Papers collection contains materials related to William and Ann Fallis. This includes selective service papers, military documents, correspondence, menus, newsletters, war bonds, maps, wedding documentation, American Red Cross paperwork, guides, songs, postcards, and a scrapbook full of photographs. These items relate to William and Ann’s time on Goodenough Island in New Guinea as well as Williams's time at Camp Roberts in California. The Fallis Family Papers collection contains William’s selective service paperwork, and 360th Station Hospital paperwork, including a newsletter and Thanksgiving menu. The collection contains eight Telegrams, five postcards, two guides for Australia, song lyrics, and military documents including status changes, war bonds, and veterans' services. The collection includes wedding memorabilia such as a marriage certificate, wedding portraits, and guestbook as well as Ann’s documents and letters from her time with the American National Red Cross. The final piece of the collection is a scrapbook that contains photographs from their time in the South Pacific. This includes photographs of indigenous people in New Guinea, the baseball team at Camp Roberts, the living quarters on Goodenough Island, and pictures of friends they met while stationed overseas.
