Scope and Contents
This folder contains documents from the USS Napa and the USS Los Angeles gathered during Floyd Kelly Jr’s service with the United States Navy and the United States Naval Reserve. Materials featured within this folder include a document from the USS Los Angeles (CA-135) with Floyd Kelly Jr’s assigned information during a United States Naval Reserve training cruise, a memo for all Naval Personnel regarding training on board the USS Los Angeles, two schedules from the USS Los Angeles during this naval training cruise, a letter from the commandant of the 12th Naval District regarding administrative information for Floyd Kelly Jr during his training cruise, a pamphlet for the USS Los Angeles cruise menu, a station billet for the USS Napa assigned to Floyd Kelly Jr, a pamphlet for a protestant church service on board the USS Napa, a two-page poem titled The Amphibious Man, and a paper receipt from the US Naval Training Station in Farragut, Idaho.
