Floyd Kelly Jr. Service Scrapbook, 1944 - 1946
Scope and Contents
A black cloth scrapbook with two red and blue embroidered dragons moving in a circle on the front cover. This scrapbook is bound together with black string, with the ends of the string heavily frayed. Five pieces of transparent tape have been applied to the spine. A large split has formed between the front cover and the spine. This scrapbook contains 40 pages of material collected, curated, and compiled by Kelly Floyd Jr. S 1/C United States Navy. Material within this scrapbook includes newspaper clippings, black-and-white photographs, color photographs, postcards from islands in the Asian-pacific theatre, pencil sketches by Floyd Kelly Jr., poems, and various objects collected by Floyd Kelly Jr. during his service with the United States Navy.
