Scope and Contents

Included within this folder is a journal written by Col. Galbraith while he was a prisoner of war at the Karenko and Tarlac camps, primarily containing entries containing a welcome speech from the captain of the Karenko war camp; an excerpt from Nippon Times and church services; a list of Japanese authorities, weights, vocabulary, what Col. Galbraith has read, wines, food; and a description of things he would teach his children. Also included is a note to senior officers regarding the unsatisfactory conditions aboard a ship, likely a hellship transporting prisoners of war.
