Biographical / Historical

Sergeant John W. Metcalf served at Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands with the 1st Marine Division in 1942. During his time there, he took various photographs of himself with fellow Marines as they carried on with regular duties.

Charles J. Neilson served with the United States Marine Corps in the 1st Marine Division in Vietnam in 1966.
