Biography
Lucille A. Arick (1909-2002) attended Simmons University in 1926 before graduating from the University of Texas at Austin in 1929. While attending UT Austin, Lucille met and married Millard Boston Arick. During World War II, Lucille served as a clerk for the local Selective Service office in Midland, Texas. At the conclusion of the war, Lucille spent her time as a homemaker, farmer, and businesswoman, before retiring in 1980 to travel the world with her daughter Ann.

The Arick Family Collection is a collection of letters, photographs, work documents, and memorabilia relating to Millard B. Arick, his wife Lucille, and their daughter Ann. Much of the material in this collection relating to Millard consists of work documents pertaining to his employment with the Humble Oil & Refining Company in McCamey and Midland, Texas, as well as his employment with the Standard Oil of New Jersey in Venezuela.
