Scope and Contents
This sub-series contains certificates recognizing Byrns’s membership or achievement in several academic and professional organizations. Items include certificates from Phi Delta Kappa, the Association of American Geographers, Gamma Theta Epsilon, and Phi Alpha Theta issued between 1967 and 1970. Also included is a 1985 certificate from the Retired Officers Association. These materials reflect Byrns’s later academic affiliations and his continued engagement with professional and military communities following retirement.
