Guy Longshore Articles and Correspondence, 2010 - 2013
Scope and Contents
The Marion F. Baugh and Guy Longshore Collection contains various photos and certificates from their careers in the US military during World War II. Within this collection is a black and white portrait photo of Baugh in military uniform. It also contains a certificate from the Chinese government, which was sent to Baugh's parents to thank them for his service and sacrifice in China. Also included is a colored photo of two B-29 Bombers taken by Guy Longshore alongside a brief description from Longshore is included.
Contained within this collection are colored photos from Longshore’s career in the US Army Air Force in various places such as Japan, Saipan, Okinawa, and Iwo Jima. There are also photos of Longshore attending a reunion later in his life. There are printed articles that include stories of Longshore’s military career and life. Longshore’s unpublished memoir, “World War II: The Good and the Bad,” is included and pertains to Longshore’s experiences during the war. Within this collection is a CD with interviews with Longshore.
