Scope and Contents
Correspondence from the United States Navy Captain and Program Manager for the Nuclear Test Personal Review program, W. J. Flor, to Retired United States Navy Retired Commander Edward M. Doran, March 9, 1990. Captain Flor thanks Commander Doran for providing information on the occupation of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan, after 1945. The purpose of collecting this information is to enable the Defense Nuclear Agency (DNA) and the Department of Defense to perform research into identifying DOD personnel in the atmospheric nuclear testing program from 1945 to 1962. A 33-page fact sheet was included alongside this correspondence.
