Memo Journals and Assorted Materials, December 1943 - December 1945
Scope and Contents
This folder contains two memo journals by First Class Fire Controlman Stiefel. The first journal is a daily account with brief descriptions from February 1945 to October 1945. The second journal provides a short daily account of Machinist Mate Third Class Russell Willinger’s time aboard the USS West Virginia from December 1943 to December 1945. Additionally, this folder contains a satisfactory service card, a brief note on locations and materials, an article by Ernie Pyle, a torn page from a newsletter, and a handwritten note containing observations on the Japanese ship the Yamato.
