Scope and Contents
The John North Collection, 1943-1946, contains manuals, pictures, newspaper clippings, church bulletins, currency, military paperwork, postcards, and letters to John North's family while in the Navy. The John North Collection contains a Blue Jackets Manual and nine photographs about his time in the war, including his time in Australia. There are four church bulletins, four different newspaper clippings, and Japanese currency including Pesos and Centavos. The collection also contains military discharge paperwork, postcards, and around 195 letters that John sent to his family while in the Navy.

John North, 1926-2012, was in the United States Navy during World War II. John North was a Pharmacist Mate 3rd class. He was stationed in Australia for most of the war.
