Scope and Contents

The Jack Aylesworth Collection, 1929-1933; 1941-1968; 1977-1978, contains a handbook, an autograph book, military documents, certificates, photographs, letters, menus, programs, and membership cards to various organizations related to his service in the Marines before the war and the Army during World War II. This includes a geographical handbook for the Philippines, a homemade autograph book with notes from other servicemen, a separation letter from the Marines, and various military documents such as special and general orders, correspondences, rosters, and promotion letters. The collection includes two photographs, programs from graduation and the Acadia, and certificates related to courses taken and promotions Jack received in the Army.

Biographical / Historical

Jack M. Aylesworth was in the United States Marine Corps from 1933 to 1937. He then served in the United States Army and the Army Reserves. He spent time in Manila and the Philippines.
