World War, 1939-1945--Philippines--Manila

The Albert Anthony Villar Collection documents the service of RM1 Albert Anthony Villar during his time aboard the U.S.S. Barnstable (APA-93) in 1945 and in Manila, the Philippines.

The Clarence Karcher Collection, 1942-1946, includes over 500 photographs, negatives, postcards, a service prayer book, a military identification card, a pay schedule book, a diary, a scrapbook, and three large photographs. These items are all related to Clarence Karcher's experience in the Pacific during World War II, specifically in the Philippines and during the Japanese occupation.

The Dimmitt K. White Papers detail Dimmitt K. White's service during World War II, including photographs of military and naval life, personal and military records, and printed materials related to the 1st Cavalry Division, as well as items reflecting his prewar and postwar experiences.

The Jack Aylesworth Collection, 1929-1978, contains a handbook, an autograph book, military documents, certificates, photographs, letters, menus, programs, and membership cards to various organizations related to Aylesworth's service in the Marines before the war and the Army during World War II.

The Oscar Brown Jr. Collection, 1939-1946, contains various materials related to Brown’s naval service on the USS Medusa. The collection includes various items such as Thanksgiving and Christmas Day menus, programs, newsletters, documents, membership cards, certificates, letters, manuals, photographs, and a scrapbook full of photos from his time serving in the war.

The Stanley J. Harrison Collection consists of images depicting activity aboard the USS Stevens, along with a few images of the Philippines and its locals.
