The Yotsey Lunsford Collection contain documents from Lunsford’s time in the U.S. Army Air Force. This collection includes money from France, China and India. There are also documents and certificates regarding Lunsford’s Honorable Discharge as well as a posed photograph of Army Air Force soldiers.

Biographical / Historical

Yotsey R. Lunsford (1914-1985) was born in Berea, Kentucky, and served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. Lunsford enlisted in 1943 where he served as a staff sergeant, working as an automotive mechanic. In 1946, Lunsford was Honorably Discharged from the U.S. Army Air Force.
