Scrapbook Pages and Photographs, 1943
Scope and Contents
This folder contains either black-and-white or sepia-toned photographs attached to individual black scrapbook pages. This folder also includes photographs that have been separated from these scrapbook pages. Photographs included within this folder include subject matter on United States Marine Corps installations and locations throughout Tinian in the Marinara Islands; Marines training in Linda Vista, California; Marines relaxing on a beach; Korean workers; Japanese dogs; military servicemen marching in formations; B-24; B-29; rural airfields; crashed Japanese aircraft; and indigenous Asiatic-Pacific islanders on a beach. This folder also contains a letter from an indigenous Ellice Islander to Richard W. Ziegler’s mother and documents on the muster roll of officers and enlisted men in the USMC 2nd Airdrome Battalion.
