Biographical / Historical
Lieutenant Commander John Williams Murphy was a member of the United States Navy during World War II. He was stationed on the USS Tambor, which was a part of the Pacific fleet. During his time on the USS Tambor, he was involved in several missions, including those at Wake Island, Midway, and the Marshall Islands, among others.
